Tying it Together

Now that we know how Bernoulli's effect works and the contribution of Newton's Third Law applied to the under side of wings we can make a statement that will be able to tie both ideas together. That is:

Lift is a force generated by turning a moving fluid

So, to change either the speed or the direction of a flow, you must impose a force. And if either the speed or the direction of a flow is changed, a force will be generated. (http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/K-12/airplane/) And since the flow is shifted downwards lift must then be upwards.
