Another magic similar to the magic box is to demostrate something on a real-person model.
As can be seen from the diagram, the audience would thought that the model in the cage is stabbed by the magician. However, as shown in the side diagram, the real-person model is actually hidding behind a mirror and only show her head. The body that is being stabbed is actually a plastic model hidden behind the curtain.

The trick is that the mirror is put in such a way that it would reflect another set of model and an assistance of the magician in such a way same as the mirror in the magic box reflecting the bottom as the back of the box. Therefore, after practice, the assistance should stab the plastic model at the same time the magician is pointing his sword toward the real-person model. Then the audience would mistake what happened to the plastic model as what is happening to the real person.
