Four
neodymium magnets
l
Two paper
clips
Instructions
#1 Show
that the two paper clips do not attract each other
#2 Attract
one of the paper clips to the magnet so the domain of the paper clips align to
the magnet
#3 Use
the attached paper clip to attract the other paper clip [as shown in the
diagram on the bottom right] (now they attract each other because the magnet
align the domain of the paper clips
#4 Slowly
and carefully remove the magnets from the paper clips
#5 Show
that the paper clips can still attract each other for a short period of time
until you shake them apart [shown in the diagram on the bottom left]
