HOW TO BUILD A CLOUD BOX

Materials Cleanout adapter and “male” coupling – large enough opening to pour water through.

Clear plastic bin – at least 1’x1’x1’.

 Transparent or translucent
plastic tarp – I used a
relatively thick inner shower
curtain.
A reverse flow air pump (or a vacuum!) and any necessary attachments.
 Small rubber plug.

Instructions  Make two holes in the bin: one on the side the size of the air pump or vacuum attachment and one on the bottom the size of the rubber plug.
2. Make sure the vacuum or air pump attachment fits into the hole on the side. It needs to be airtight. If possible, use a plumbing glue to secure it to the bin.
3. Cut the plastic tarp into a rectangle slighter bigger than the opening of the bin, and use plumbing glue or hot glue to glue the tarp over the opening. Make sure it is stretched as tightly as possible.
4. Cut the edges off the tarp and tape them down, making sure that it is airtight.
5. Cut a hole in the center of the tarp slightly smaller than the cleanout adapter. Push the adapter in to its widest part and seal around it with hot or plumbing glue.
6. Push the rubber plug into the second hole in the bin.
7. Admire your cloud box!
