The objective of this presentation is to introduce physical concepts in an exciting and hands-on way. Our approach is to begin simply and slowly so that eventually concepts such as electromagnetism and its role in motors become understandable. The following demonstrations will take us through the process of creating simple circuits, magnets, motors, and generators, so that we can understand what electricity can do and how to produce it. This program has been presented to over 350 students throughout the Lower Mainland and the Interior of British Columbia. The success of this presentation is due to its pace, its focus on the clarification and repetition of key concepts, and the number of tangible, repeatable, and hands-on demonstrations.
