Physics Principles at Play

Magnetism:

Magnetic fields are produced by the alignment of magnetic moments of atoms

Electromagnetism:

Magnetic fields can also be created by a current carrying wire

Faraday’s Law:

Changing magnetic fields will cause an electromotor force to be induced

Lenz’s Law:

The direction of an induced current is such that it creates a magnetic field to oppose the changing field that induced it
