Physics 420 is a course offered at the University of British Columbia through the Department of Physics and Astronomy in which each student creates a demonstration project related to physics and presents it to high school or elementary school students. Throughout my university experience I always found it most interesting to learn explanations for everyday events that we usually don't even think about. What especially caught my interest was the physics of sound. The topic I chose to explore in my demonstration is the DOPPLER EFFECT since it is pertainable to both these interests of mine. My website will outline the demonstration and give a brief summary of the fundamentals of sound in particular those that relate to the Doppler Effect.
