INTRODUCTION

1) BUZZERS:

The buzzer to the left is the buzzer I tried to use at first. It was taken out of my friend Mike's Taboo board game. Unfortunately it wasn't a single frequency so it wasn't able to work.

The buzzer on the right is a Piezo buzzer which was purchased at radioshack. It produced a single frequency sound of approximately 2500-2800Hz. Two of these buzzers were used--one for each demonstration.

2) TUBING:

A 45cm tube that was 1/2" in diameter. A switch was placed at one end and the buzzer at the other. AAA batteries were placed inside the tube and a spring and screw were used to hold them in place and complete the circuit.

            3) MOTOR:                          4) MICROPHONE

5) SWITCHES

The switches were with both buzzers. THANK GOODNESS FOR SWITCHES!!!

6) ACOUSTIC ANALYZING SYSTEM SOFTWARE

This computer program was downloaded for free from www.freeware.com

7) LEGO!!                                8) CO2 CARTRIDGES

I decided not to use the CO2 cartridges in my final demonstration because it was very difficult to puncture them properly.

9) BATTERIES--Batteries were used to power the buzzers.

- 10AAA batteries were used to power the buzzer on the tube

- A 9V battery was used to power the buzzer on the lego

10) PLEXI-GLASS BOX

11) FISHING LINE--(approximately 10m)

12) METAL TUBE-- used to run fishing line through it.
